We have wheelchair height raised beds, sensory areas, grow your own greenhouses and seating areas to enjoy the weather.

Chair Based Exercise at Brazley Day Care Centre @ Brazley Day Care Centre

15405-Event-ExerciseEvery morning at Brazley Day Care Centre Abdul gets service users joints moving and blood pumping. Abdul is a care assistant and a is is a qualified chair based exercise instructor from Age UK Bolton who gets service users  moving, laughing and exercising. This class is predominantly for day care service users as part of their day care package.

Carers Drop In Centre at Candle Cafe @ Bolton Dementia Support Candle Cafe

Service userBolton Dementia Support also offer a carers drop in centre at their Candle Cafe in Little Lever. The centre is a support service for all carers, particularly for those who are caring for someone living with dementia.  Ir offers a friendly, dedicated team of volunteers and professionals who can provide advice, information and support.

Memory Cafes

StockWhen you’re not attending day care why not visit one of Bolton Dementia Supports Memory Cafes? A memory cafe is for people who are living with dementia and offer a friendly, relaxed and welcoming setting where people living with dementia and their families can can meet others in a similar situation, find out how and where to get help and share experiences and coping strategies. Each cafe provides a setting where people living with dementia feel welcomes and valued.
Visit our cafes:  Mondays, 2pm-4pm, The Victoria Hall, BL1 2AS. Tuesdays, 2pm-4pm, Horwich RMI Club, Chorley Old Road, BL6 5NH. Wednesdays, 2pm-4pm, Astley Bridge Bowling Club, Bar Lane, BL1 7JH.

Hairdressing at Brazley Day Care @ Brazley Day Care

Julie and Mum-Event-BeautyEspecially For You is a hairdressing service specifically tailored to individual needs. The friendly and relaxed in salon and mobile service is available for members of the public who may find it  difficult to visit a high street salon, those with reduced mobility, people who are living with dementia and those with complex needs. The salon at Brazley Day Care Centre is open every Tuesday and Friday unless otherwise stated. If you do not feel you would be able to attend one of the salons, Especially For You runs a bespoke home visiting service where we have all the equipment to bring the salon to you.
