How Respite Services work
Respite Services give both the individual and their families and carers a break from caring duties. Respite Services have two facilities, Mere Hall View and The Respite House, both offer 24 hour support for service users, with requirements tailored to the individual dependent upon their assessed needs.
Mere Hall View
Mere Hall View provides short term breaks for service users with a learning disability, physical disability, secondary mental health problems as well as additional complex needs. Mere Hall View has seven bedrooms (three on the ground floor providing fully accessible accommodation) and includes 24 hour support, with waking night staff.
The Respite House
The Respite House is available for people with severe and enduring mental illness in crisis, where hospital admission would not be appropriate or necessary. Our supportive environment offers 24 hour care for up to six people, including one ground floor en-suite wheelchair accessible bedroom.
