We are delighted that Salford Cares, our Supported Living Service in Salford, has been recognised as ‘Good’ by the Care Quality Commission (CQC)

Salford Cares, one of Salford’s newest care providers, has received glowing reports from the regulator, the CQC.

The Care Quality Commission (CQC) inspected Salford Cares and gave the service a ‘Good’ rating in all areas.

The inspector particularly commended the service for supporting people to have maximum control and choice over their lives and providing person- centred care.

The team was recognised for promoting people’s dignity, privacy and respect.

The values demonstrated by Salford Cares employees meant the service was found to be providing an inclusive and empowering culture.

People who are supported by Salford Cares told the inspector they were happy with the service and liked the staff.

The inspector observed first-hand staff treating people with respect and dignity.

The CQC observed that people’s choices were respected and were supported to be as involved as possible in all aspects of their daily lives.

Jill Lockett, Operations Manager at Salford Cares, said:

“I am really proud of the efforts of all the team at Salford Cares and how we collectively support individuals to live meaningful lives as part of their local communities.

Our team really care about people and I am glad that this has been recognised within the CQC report.

This provides us with a solid foundation to build on and we will continue to improve our offer in the future”.
